Welcome to Sadé Askew's website! 


Sadé Askew is from Detroit, Mich. She is currently an associate producer at WDIV in her hometown. She graduated from  Florida A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism in December 2012. Sadé got involved with the school's station, FAMU TV 20, during her sophomore year. She was given the opportunity to intern with WCTV, Tallahassee's CBS affiliate, during her senior year. She worked under the 11 p.m. news producer. There, she wrote scripts and edited stories for the live show. During her senior year, she served as the associate producer and editor of FAMU's Paradigm News Magazine Show/Webcast.  Sadé spent the summer of 2012 interning at WTXL-TV in Tallahassee, Fla. She went out in the field and reported breaking news, including the manslaughter case of Evan Wilhelm. Sadé has written several articles for Websites such as Your Capital Bureau and WTXL. Sadé also served as the associate producer of TV 20's 2012 Election Night Special.  During her last semester at FAMU, she served as the newscast producer for FAMU News 20 at Five. Her job was to develop a live 30-minute newscast while motivating her news crew. She aspires to be a television producer.
